About
We believe that art and music can life inspire and beautify us all. This is why we provide an environment where Portland’s youth can discover, experience and learn about their own artistic passions.
The arts instill a sense of worth, belonging and discipline in those who participate. Unfortunately, this opportunity is missing for many students in Portland area students because music and art have been reduced or eliminated in many of the schools. Vibe was created to provide an artistic opportunity for all students regardless of socioeconomic status.
We are currently gearing up for our 3rd year of classes at Harrison Park School in SE Portland! After school classes this year include Art Foundations for middle school and upper elementary, Comic Creations (create and draw your own superhero), Beyond Guitar Hero, Vibrant Rhythms (drumming) and Vibe Voices (a GLEE inspired singing class). Also new to the line up this year are our Pint-Size Picasso preschool art classes offered at TaborSpace on SE 55th and Belmont.
Vibe also started PLAY (Private Lessons Advancing Youth) this past Spring. Anyone in middle school through college wanting to pursue musical endeavors in a one-on-one mentoring environment is welcome to apply for private music lessons for Fall Quarter. Applications are accepted online until September 15th.
